Adams Hendon Carson Crow & Saenger, P.A. promotes civic involvement and encourages its attorneys to be active members of the community.

All of our attorneys participate in the Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer program and provide free legal assistance to those who most deserve pro bono services to meet their basic needs. Through the volunteer program, co-sponsored by the 28th Judicial District Bar and Pisgah Legal Services, our attorneys have assisted financially disadvantaged clients in:

• preventing homelessness, remedying substandard conditions and protecting tenants from unfair landlord practices;
• qualifying for subsistence income and government benefits available to disabled and unemployed individuals;
• remedying harm caused by abusive collection and unfair business practices;
• protecting them as victims of domestic violence;
• obtaining healthcare and other benefits; and
• preparing wills, health care powers of attorney and living wills.

Some attorneys regularly volunteer by providing brief advice and referral assistance to clients who call a free legal hotline that is also operated through the Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer program.

Many of our attorneys have served and currently serve as board members for local for profit and not for profit corporations.
